This May half term, hundreds of youngsters enjoyed a very special birthday party as Westmorland Shopping Centre celebrated its 30th anniversary year with a free Mad Hatter’s 30th Birthday Tea Party!

Led by entertaining and eccentric characters the ‘Mad Hatter’ and ‘Queen of Hearts’, families were invited to a birthday party with a difference as they experienced a playful journey into the world of Alice and Wonderland with cupcake decorating, flamingo croquet, party games and treasure hunts!

Westmorland Shopping Centre Manager, Nick Pitt said, “We wanted to do something special to celebrate the centres 30th anniversary year, and it was great to see so many families here today celebrating with us and enjoying the free activities.”

“The centre has changed lots over the last 30 years, this year alone we have welcomed Toyland and Clarks to the centre and have announced exciting new plans for the future.”

“We are really looking forward to our next Little Explorers Kids’ Club during the summer holidays on Wednesday 14th August, where families can join us for our Big Summer Read event, as we use imaginative play to bring to life five fantastic children’s stories.”
