Mental Health Awareness Week 2025!

Mental Health Awareness Week returns from 12th – 18th May 2025, led by the Mental Health Foundation. This year’s theme, ‘Community’, shines a spotlight on the vital role that connection and belonging play in our mental health and wellbeing.

Strong, supportive communities help us feel safe, valued, and less alone. They give us a sense of purpose, offer comfort during difficult times, and even protect us from the emotional effects of discrimination. Despite being surrounded by communities, we don’t always recognise their impact on our mental health—but getting involved can make a real difference.

Whether it’s volunteering, joining a local group, showing kindness, or simply connecting with neighbours, there are plenty of ways to engage with your community and boost your wellbeing.

One simple way to take part is through Wear it Green Day, happening on Thursday 15 May. Schools, workplaces, and individuals across the UK are encouraged to wear green, host events, and raise awareness and funds to support the Mental Health Foundation’s ongoing work.

If you're looking for support, free and confidential help is available through services such as Samaritans (116 123), Shout (text SHOUT to 85258), CALM (0800 58 58 58), and the Mind Infoline (0300 123 3393).

Together, by celebrating and strengthening our communities, we can create a society that values mental health for everyone.

This Mental Health Awareness Week we have taken time to create some free colouring sheets as we believe that coloring is a simple yet powerful way to support mental health.

It encourages mindfulness by helping you focus on the present moment, which can reduce anxiety and stress. The repetitive motion of coloring is calming, while the creative process provides a gentle outlet for self-expression. Whether you're using it to unwind after a busy day or as part of a broader self-care routine, coloring offers a soothing break that can improve mood and promote a sense of calm.
